End of the High School Skinnies Weight Loss Challenge!

Yahoo! Today was the finale. I feel relieved that not on it now, but still eating the same things, does that make sense? I have a fridge full of fruits and vegs and fresh and easy prepared meals, so still on the same plan I guess!

I lost 19.5 lbs for the 8 weeks and am so damn excited! Since i was on the gain plan , losing the almost 10 lbs a month isn't bad at all. plus I had my share of peeps, cheryl cookies, sweet teas and mcd's non fat hot chocolates still. So i will take the 19.5 and be happy about it. I can finally see it in my face. I have such a long way to go, but can see the difference now!

Takign the week offish, not all the way off, but a bit I think, then we are restarting next monday, maybe 4 weeks at a time for the next challenge, we were all exhausted by the end of this one and ready for it to be over.

JD won, thrilled for him, wendy and I were neck and neck, with me just a smidge above her (hahah) and Jessica, well, Jessica partied away for the 7 weeks on, then quit work here last week, so out of the challenge I guess. Oh well.

The world is now 74.2 lbs lighter, thanks to our 8 week challenge.

Happy Cinco Stinko!

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

down 18 and a half lbs, so that is fabulous, very pleased, although JD is killing me in this challenge, but he looks so good and has done so well, hard to complain about that.

Moved into the house 2 years ago today, so yipppeee! it's my anniversary!

Having trouble keeping focus on the diet, really really needed ALOT of Chocolate right about now. I can make it, just till Monday the 10th, then taking a mini break for a week.

So, finally I am seeing some progress in the weight challenge. Well, to be honest, I was having things I shouldn't have, but still.

So, this week's weigh in, and I lost 5 lbs ! yipppeeee! this will keep me motivated to continue on the right track. I was hoping for 5 lbs this week and need to do 5 lbs each of the remaining 3 weeks as well, to hit my personal first goal. 16 lbs down in 5 weeks! not fabulous numbers, but still in the right direction.

Boy can I feel a big difference already too! I am able to move around alot more with out being so tired, winded or knees hurting. So this is also in the right direction.

The rest of the High School skinnies were not so successful. JD only lost 1 lb, Jessica zero and Wendy forgot to weigh herself this am (right). But that's ok, YEA ME! I am still 3% behind jd, but within range to catch him if he continues to slack off. That $400.00 is in my reach!

welcome, welcome my friend. Why don't we shorten the week so that you come around much more often.

Looking forward to a busy, but enjoyable weekend with friends, gardening and the dogs.

Fridays can never come quick enough.

the Numbers Game....

So, it's already been one month since the weight contest and diet started. Of course, the one guy on the team is winning, as he has been trying and well, guys always lose more than woman, let's face it!

This week, I lost 6 lbs! exciting exciting, I know, but actually, 4 of those were the 4 lbs that I gained last week when I whooped it up and ate peeps for the week prior to easter, as my main diet (trust me, the peep diet does NOT work!).

11 lbs down in 1 month. Since I have been 1/2 assed at it, that is great. I would have gained weight if not on this challenge, so I guess that's a good one too. But why , oh why, can I not keep up with this correctly.

This week I will, that's a promise. We are over the hump now and into the home stretch, I only have 4 more weigh ins and need to lose some considerable weight AND also could use that 400.00!

week one of the challenge!

Whew, week one is done and the headaches are finally gone. Who knew I drank and ate that much caffeine! It was brutal the first few days but much better now.

The high school skinnies (wendy, jessica, jd and myself) weighed in this morning for our first week weigh in and lost a total of 26 lbs! As Jessica put it, the world is now 26 lbs lighter!
JD won week one with a 3.97% weight loss. I lost 2.58%, wendy 1.84% and Jessica .62 (bad weekend for her).

We figured JD would start off well, guys always do, but now I am going to have to push harder to get ahead and win this.

This weeks goal, another 8 lbs! Wish me luck!

Count Down to High School Skinny!

Ok, i am late, but joining the weight reduction bandwagon and have managed to coerce 4 friends and coworkers to join in the fun!

Local radio station KNIX has been going on and on about this Healthe' Trim and they have all lost weight on it. They are starting a contest, that starts March 15th - for 10 contestants, I submitted an application, but they are supposed to be calling everyone today that is a contestant and I didn't get a call YET, so think I may not have made it :(

Regardless, I have motivated Jess, JD, Omai and Wendy to join me for the same time frame. We begin with our first weigh in Monday, March 15th and go for 8 weeks, finishing up on Monday, May 10th. Each one of us is putting in 100.00, so the winner, the one with the biggest percent of weight lost, gets 500.00!

This should be the kick in the ass I need to get some weight off me! Monday, counting down and getting ready to begin and win the High School Skinny Contest!

All I have to say about my extra lbs and fat, is don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Good Lord, home much rain can one take? If I wanted this much rain I would have stayed in that craphole Oklahoma.

Yet again, rain today. The grey, gloominess and overcast is really bringing me down, not to mention killing my arthritis, sinus and allergies. And don't even get me started on the dogs with the same issues!

Knitting is coming along great, the I have got the scrub the house from top to bottom due to the on again off again rain we have had every single week since Jan 20th.

Whew, I feel better just letting that out.

Knitting on with the Ravelympics!

Up to my eyeballs in Merino during the Ravelympics and loving every moment of it!

Too much prep time and hype and nerves during the LAST ravelympics, so this time, i did nothing to prepare. I chose a pattern I have been wantng to knit for years now and it is also on my 10 in 2010 projects, so thought I could knock out both by doing the Clapotis. Love Love Love this pattern. Now, I don't figure out the patterns easily, dont; memorize them when I knit, as I knit mindlessly, but this one is easy enough for me. very pretty pattern and knits up easily, just alot of knitting!

I had cast on during the opening ceremonies and spent a few days last week not knitting, but for the most part, have knit every night. I only have 5 more days to get this done and have no intentions of failing!

Using the gorgeous yarn I had in stash, Fiesta Boomerang in the Sedona colorway, it's FABULOUS! I know I will love this and wear it alot, especially at the over air conditioned office.
